The Role
Bloomberg Digital is recruiting for an editorial social media editor. Responsibilities include managing social media feeds and developing social media components to support’s and’s editorial content. The social media editor may also be called on to help train Bloomberg editorial staff on how to incorporate social media into their reporting. Successful applicants should have experience in Web editorial or a journalism background and be able to demonstrate sound news judgment. Familiarity with Web design or basic coding skills is an added plus. The position reports to Bloomberg Digital’s Executive Producer.

-2+ years of recent and relevant web/editorial/social media and journalism experience, ideally including experience at a major media website/publication.
-Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels;
-Superior communication skills, including writing, editing and verbal capabilities;
-Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving abilities, creativity, and sense of "getting things done".
-Not mandatory but a plus: web design or basic coding skills
