Congressional Quarterly is seeking a reporter to cover regulatory issues related to agriculture and food policy at the departments of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration as well as other agencies that develop agriculture-related policy. The reporter will provide daily coverage for CQ Roll Call's Executive Briefing on Agriculture & Food, including news stories for its daily morning edition and updates throughout the day. We are looking for an experienced, enterprising reporter who is eager to break news and comfortable translating complex regulatory actions for informed agriculture stakeholders. Experience covering regulatory agencies and Congress is preferred. While the regulatory agencies will be the primary focus of the beat, it will also involve following the intersection of regulatory and legislative policy in Congress. The right candidate understands agriculture policy and understands how the regulatory agencies function.
