Job Purpose: As a Producer for the TODAY show, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and producing innovate and creative spots for the 7&8 a hours. This position requires significant edit room producing- will setup and write pieces for TODAY broadcast. Responsible for crashing pieces for air. Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing. Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team. Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments

Must be able to shoot and edit Must have strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment Must have a Bachelors degree. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbc uni-careers.com to be considered. Must be willing to submit to a background investigation. Must be 18 years or greater Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United States. Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice.

Strong organizational skills Strong storytelling ability Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices.
