Director of Branded Content
The Post Studios is a new creative team inside the New York Post dedicated to the relentless pursuit of creative ideation and strategic thinking. We partner with select brands to deliver highly creative and custom integrated solutions across all of our platforms: digital, print, social, mobile, video, experiential and more.Post Studios will create content together with advertisers through our new branded content capability, known as Dispatch. Dispatch allows marketers to tap into the creative engine of The Post and create content in our unique voice, enabling advertisers to communicate with our readers and users in The New York Post Publishing system. Further, Dispatches will appear in the same familiar context as standard story pages on our website (nypost.com)We are currently looking for a highly enthusiastic and creative individual to join the Post Studios team as Director of Branded Content, overseeing and leading our Dispatch offering. The Director of Branded Content/Dispatch will be tasked with developing and producing first-rate content-based ideas for brands and marketers. This position requires a strong background in writing/journalism/content creation and combines storytelling, strategic thinking, and creativity to provide value for The New York Post’s advertising partners.The Director of Branded Content will be responsible for the complete Branded Content operation as follows:• Lead all parts of Dispatch- from generating initial content ideas in conjunction with internal sales and marketing teams on behalf of advertising partners- to final content execution and production• Leverage strong storytelling abilities to present ideas internally and then help develop both large and small scale content-driven ideas to take to potential partners• Write, edit and produce multiple forms of content• Manage your established network of freelance writers, editors, designers, developers and content creators to write, produce and execute Dispatch content in a timely and relevant voice • Set and maintain a quality standard for the co-created content the team produces -critical to this role is an understanding of balancing native/sponsored content with “editorial” voice and advertiser objectives/demands• Contribute to the pitch of content based/Dispatch programs and provide a vision for the advertiser and plans for execution, both within The New York Post context and into the vast digital/social universe• Develop new branded content ideas to take to market• Serve as the “editorial” voice behind all branded content programsSkills:• 7+ years in content creation (editorial/writing/journalism or custom content within media or content marketing agency preferred)• Strong writing and storytelling capabilities• Demonstrated ability to manage other writers/producers• Understanding of native advertising/content marketing/branded content• Creativity with an eye towards content based ideas• Established network/solid relationship with freelance writers, editors/producersFor immediate consideration, please submit resume and cover letter/email.
