Senior Manager, Events & Promotion, Brides

 

Overview/Purpose

You will be a self-starter and someone who is motivated by new thinking. With that said, you will be an integral part of the team and will work closely with every member – teamwork is a priority!

 

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Creative Services and Sales Departments to propose and implement a wide variety of multi-platform experiential programs
  • Manage Events & Promotion staff
  • Manage key signature programs and custom merchandising events and identify innovative ways to upgrade and improve their brand impact
  • Identify and develop new and strategic partnerships to leverage opportunities for advertising partners
  • Work with Associate Publisher, Creative Services to develop proposals, sell sheets, and other collateral for new partnerships/signature programs and present to sales staff
  • Work with PR Department to stay abreast of and leverage press pick-up of signature programs and partnerships
  • Produce and execute client entertaining events
  • Produce and execute internal events such as national sales meetings, holiday party, staff celebrations/occasions
  • Produce and execute trade and industry events such trade shows, event sponsorships, etc.
  • Attend sales calls with Sales and/or Creative Services Departments
  • Manage both large and small project budgets and ensure that finances are accurate and accounted for
  • Work with all BRIDES departments as a pro-active team member, serving as a promotion and events resource and actively participating in brainstorms and follow-through

 Requirements:

  • Must have 4+ years experience in a marketing, promotion or event capacity
  • Proven experience managing large and small events, including event staff such as producers and freelancers
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, proactive, customer service oriented
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who is able to think creatively and problem-solve independently
  • Strong writing, communication and planning skills
  • Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
  • Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
  • Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate
