Produce and write segments for MSNBCs new Friday night show with host Alec Baldwin. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Research, report, produce and write assigned segments. Determine video and sound for assigned segments. Track and communicate daily story developments with senior producer. Be in control room during airing of assigned segment. Take part in editorial planning. Pitch story ideas. Work with graphics producers to create show graphics.



Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred in television production (i.e. morning shows, cable shows, broadcast TV, etc). Must be an expert writer and storyteller. Ability to enterprise, research, and plan stories. Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize important stories with high potential for provocative, passionate, compelling television. Knowledge of politics and current events. Up to date on blogs, websites, periodicals, news and analysis.
