We're looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager to help conceive, design, and drive the creation of sophisticated distributed systems for next generation ad programs, such as "Kindle with Special Offers". The Kindle Ad Products group was recently formed to build advertising systems to address new market segments, and offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you'll be at the center of Amazon innovation.

In this role you will get the opportunity to own major deliverables through all aspects of the development cycle: scoping, design, implementation, testing. You will propose the ideal designs based on business objectives, time lines, customer experience and resource constraints. You will work with the product management, sales, and engineering teams to harness some of the biggest opportunities to grow our businesses top and bottom lines.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years experience in platform technology groups to define, scope, prioritize and deliver software products
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, and a consideration for scale, efficiency and performance
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

- Leadership skills, ability to communicate with diverse partners with confidence, clarity, and focus, verbally and in writing
- Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
- Track record of leading projects with high quality and defined timelines
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to build trusting working relationships with business and technical partners
- Demonstrated ability to work well in ambiguous situations
- Prior experience as a software engineer is strongly desired
