The Account Manager sells ad space within assigned territory & accounts for both Print & Online media with a strong emphasis on building integrated/multi-platform deals. This position interacts extensively with agency & client personnel & the majority of accounts will be within the home/decorating/building categories. The Account Manager maintains or improves share-of-market & maximizes profitability.

Job Functions

80% Sells advertising space in SIM via personal contact & telephone calls to assigned clients & agencies within sales territory.
10% Utilizes visual presentations, research reports & special sales data in personal contact sales to individuals &/or groups.
5% Tracks SIM's share of market within the home/shelter field of assigned accounts on a monthly basis.
5% Provides management with timely & accurate monthly, quarterly & annual budget forecasts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training &/or experience.

Minimum 5 yrs sales experience, preferably in magazines, newspapers or other print medium. Shelter/home magazine sales experience is a major plus.
