Your tasks
The eBook Production & Operations team is looking for a Manager to lead and help build our growing Random House Publisher Services business.
The candidate will oversee a team that works to prepare client book content for conversion and performs quality assurance on our eBook files.
This position will interface with client contacts, internal teams, conversion partners, and retailers to ensure that expectations are met and quality products enter the market on time. In addition to this, the candidate will also work to onboard new clients as the need arises.
Responsibilities include overseeing all client eBook production and operations, communications with all RHPS clients, monitoring of schedules and reporting to make sure that content is received in a timely fashion and updated as needed. Responsibilities also include monitoring of workflow with our conversion partners, file distribution to vendors, troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise, and creating new strategy, processes and efficiencies to help drive this business forward.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, self-organized, independent worker with very strong project management, people management, and relationship management skills.

?Flexible with the ability to prioritize and multi-task across several different projects and clients at once
?Process oriented with a proven ability to create efficiencies
?Customer-service and/or experience with client services
?Strong analytical and problem solving skills
?Strong written and oral communication skills
?Strong organizational and time management skills
?Strategic and business-oriented
?Familiarity with the book and eBook production process
?Familiarity with data management standards, tools, and technologies (e.g., XML, SQL, DocBook, XSLT).
?Excellent PC Skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
?Experience with XHTML, CSS, Filemaker, Mac and Adobe Applications (Photoshop, illustrator, Indesign) would be an asset but is not required

In addition, you must have demonstrated ability to work in a deadline driven environment with shifting priorities and heavy volume. Four year degree or equivalent experience required. Prior related experience is a plus.
