Job Description

Government Executive Media Group (GEMG) seeks a highly driven, digital-savvy marketer to join our team as Audience Marketing Manager. The Audience Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, managing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns to meet audience goals across all of our brands and platforms, including digital, events, and print.

The Audience Marketing Manager will be a critical player in achieving GEMG’s aggressive growth plans and will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Operations and work closely with senior management stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

•Lead process for defining audience goals across brands and platforms, collaborating with senior management stakeholders
•Create and execute marketing plans to achieve audience objectives for GEMG editorial properties (across digital, events, print), maximizing cross-promotional audience marketing opportunities
•Create and execute marketing plans to fulfill custom client campaigns, meeting contracted commitments for lead generation, event registrations, digital impressions, etc.
•Develop messaging and copy for audience marketing communications, including emails, digital and print ads, radio ads, social media, promotional blurbs, etc.
•Work closely with graphic designers to create highly professional audience marketing deliverables, including digital destinations, ads, social media campaigns, etc.
•Manage and grow presence on social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook) by monitoring and optimizing activity across them to enhance audience engagement
•Increase audience engagement in all channels by providing regular recommendations to improve the audience experience and foster interaction
•Monitor, analyze, and report on audience marketing results

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

•Proven track record in developing and executing audience marketing campaigns
•Exceptional writing skills, specifically in persuasive copywriting
•Strong skills in analytical and strategic thinking; ability to understand and use relevant information about market issues and audience interests to develop compelling messaging
•Creativity and a high degree of organization skills
•2-4+ years of experience in audience marketing preferred
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Strong spreadsheet and database skills
•Basic knowledge of HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver preferred
•Experience with using web-based email applications preferred
