If this sounds like you, please continue.The Job:As our PR Manager, you willBe a member of Quirky’s Storytelling team, working closely with Quirky’s Director of PR who works remotelyManage Quirky’s Product Press InitiativesConstantly seek opportunities to secure press for Quirky’s evergreen product press portfolioBe a strong brand ambassador for Quirky telling our story far and wideBe a part of a growing movement to make invention accessibleBe a brand ambassador for the Quirky movement and the company’s mission to “make invention accessible”The Responsibilities: Own and manage all press activities for Quirky’s Product portfolioPlan for future product initiatives and come up with creative ways to continuously pitch Quirky’s products to the pressWrite and manage all aspects of weekly product press releasesAttend Weekly Product Meetings and be up to date on all changes with product development an launch datesRespond to incoming Press Inquiries for Product Images and Review UnitsConstantly develop media contacts and relationships, working daily pitching media and securing impact storiesStay on the pulse of media trend topics, themes, deadlines, issues, opportunities, etc.Use social media to develop relations with the press and know when to share press winsCreate weekly Press ReportsWork closely with the Marketing and Digital TeamsPlan Product Launches and Press Events/Media BriefingsDrive Influencer ProjectsThe Qualifications:3-5 years of Public Relations experienceCollege degree or a really great dropout storyStrong and creative writing skillsFluency and comfort pitching press directly and via social media platformsConfidence to act as a real brand ambassador in the face of the mediaAgency and product-specific experience is a plusEnthusiastic, outgoing, hardworking and fun to be aroundSelf-motivated and able to drive initiatives without daily supervisionUnrelenting intellectual curiosity and pride in doing awesome workPassion for what we are building at QuirkyThe Application:Check us out at www.quirky.com.
