Are you a creative marketing professional who can strategize and wants to see their inspired ideas become a reality in a busy Marketing and Communication department? Then look no further. As the Marketing Specialist at the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) you will fulfill a variety of marketing related duties for the department as well as for various other programs within the Association. This position will be extremely broad-based, incorporating strategy, creation and implementation of marketing plans, supervision of external vendors, and strong creative output. In this position, you will find yourself working on the annual tradeshow marketing collateral, digital marketing, collaborating on the annual membership guide, creating member benefit materials and more!


• Create and implement marketing plans and timelines for numerous programs and products as needed.
• Create and implement various marketing elements, from writing email campaigns to writing video scripts, maintaining social media visibility to conceptualizing creative promotions for various programs.
• Handle all marketing duties with respect to all programs from various departments requiring such services within the Communication department.
• Maintain oversight of all graphics and marketing-related policies and procedures for the Association.
• Be the point person for staff in terms of providing guidance for all marketing-related activities.
• Handle various duties related to assisting the product marketing function of our for-profit subsidiary, REBS.
• Assist in supervising and directing freelance graphic designers on projects as needed.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication or Marketing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing.
• Ability to think strategically.
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and outstanding customer service orientation.
• Ability to function effectively in a variety of challenging situations and circumstances, including difficult project deadlines, demanding customers, tight budgets, and evolving goals and objectives.
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers and management by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
• Ability to objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others.
