GSG is seeking a digital strategist who is an able cat herder, memo- and tweet-writing phenom, and artful client whisperer who can also relate to the weirdest kids on Tumblr and Reddit. This person should have experience managing multiple clients and fast-moving projects and a track record of developing creative, high-impact digital campaigns. GSG’s current and former clients include Major League Soccer, Time Warner Inc., Priorities USA Action and Rockefeller Foundation.

•Serve as ‘quarterback’ of the digital strategy team; leading client projects and new business proposals and keeping the team, other departments, vendors and clients on track
•Demystify digital communications for our clients and colleagues through smart, succinct writing and explanations
•Create visually compelling presentations, proposals, and client deliverables
•Write and design social media content calendars and other online content
•Diagnose and improve clients’ and prospects’ digital footprint and social media strategies
•Manage the creation of shareable digital content for social media, owned properties, and native advertising
•Create and manage media monitoring systems that identify emerging narratives and potential threats and opportunities
•Identify emerging technologies, trends and online services to increase effectiveness of our work
•Market GSG and the digital offerings through blog posts, speaking roles, social media, and other opportunities
•Play a key role in GSG’s integrated pitch team for new business

•2-3 years of experience in marketing or communications with a digital focus, with at least one year of agency experience
•A proven ability to successfully manage projects involving a range of clients, vendors and business partners (internally and externally); good problem solving and leadership skills
•Strong writing skills, including the ability to produce varied content intended for a range of media and audiences
•Good visual presentation skills, including PhotoShop and PowerPoint fluency
•Strong grasp of integrated marketing and communications campaigns (paid, owned, earned)
•Curiosity about information and technology, and use of social media in your personal life
•Experience managing digital advertising buys – including Twitter and Facebook Ads, display network advertising, and Google AdWords – a plus
•Spanish fluency or other language skills a plus
•Even more bonus points if you have read Social Media ROI or find Condescending Corporate Brand Page hilarious

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
