The Daily News is seeking to hire a fulltime SEO analyst.

The right person will: have a passion for SEO, data and the latest digital strategy. You will be able translate and interpret effective SEO recommendations across a variety of departments at the Daily News including editorial, our design team, front and back-end developers, digital ad and business development teams as well as our online sales and marketing teams. You will be easy-going, collaborative, willing to try new things and adapt quickly and scrap them if they don’t work while. Keep in mind we are a breaking news environment – the pace is fast.

In this role you will be providing on-site SEO expertise, establishing key performance indicators, and identifying areas for improvements in site structure, internal linking, page code, and content. You will be asked to evaluate a variety of site developments and products for SEO hazards, benefits, etc. You will be are involved in everything SEO and will be able to craft short and long view strategies then generate reports demonstrating progress against goals to leadership. As the SEO expert, it is crucial that you identify, monitor, and report on competitor techniques. Our ideal candidate thrives on being able to piece it all together to create a clear direction, is motivated by end-to-end involvement and accountability, and your knowledge is so good you can articulate complex ideas in a simple and easy to understand manner.

You will have/ be:

•3 years of experience as an SEO specialist
•Deep knowledge and understanding of the latest shifts and requirements in SEO
•Evaluate site developments for SEO hazards
•Proficient in Google Analytics and Webmaster tools
•Creative thinker, assertive problem solver, and analytical mastermind
•Experience targeting specific goals, focused metrics and kpis when setting SEO strategy. Be prepared to discuss specific accounts, strategies, and achievements
•Proven track record of recently delivered
