Social Media Manager, HIP Genius


The primary responsibility of this position is to work with Senior Account Managers to develop integrated social media campaigns that support clients’ overarching marketing and business objectives. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-4 years of previous online social media marketing experience.


· Work with the team and clients to explore and identify ways to integrate social media into marketing campaigns

· Manage social communities for major TV and Film clients

· Define key performance indicators and implement measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success

· Research and repot on emerging social platforms

· Conceptualize and execute digital PR campaigns, including digital partnerships and promotions

· Pitch to secure high-profile placements (exclusive or non-exclusive) for clients on major portals, blogs and social networks, and oversee outreach/content distribution

· Day-to-day account management for select clients

· Blog about social media trends and emerging platforms


· Deep understanding of social platforms

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Strong presentation skills

· Relationship building skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team


· 2-4 years agency experience in social media marketing, including community management

· Demonstrated experience and a passion for social technology universe (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Foursquare, blogs, wikis, RSS social bookmarking, discussion forums and community software)

· Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including but not limited to Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, HootSuite, Radian6, SocialGuide and TweetDeck

· A working understanding of digital PR, including site features and editor relationships

· Knowledge of social TV is a plus


· Bachelor Degree with 2-4 years experience in online marketing
