Responsibilities Include:

•Cultivate strong relationships through a consultative process involving on-site meetings and presentations with client and agency decision makers seeking to engage Global Business Professionals.
•Meet with advertisers and ad agencies to articulate the editorial mission and readership of Quartz and determine a fit between publication and potential advertiser.
•Develop and deliver winning programs and proposals that lead to lasting and commercially successful advertising partnerships with a focus on branded content creation and innovative custom advertising.
•Inform our ongoing and developing business strategy development through deep knowledge and understanding of the market, categories, advertising business, and trends.
•Serve as a representative of the Quartz brand within the advertising community in a positive, convincing, and enthusiastic manner.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

•Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to win
•Must have SVP and VP level relationships on agency-side and client-side
•Ability to take ownership and work independently to meet aggressive performance goals
•Outstanding professional record of achievement
•Strong interest in global business, high-quality content and online media
•Excellent and persuasive communication skills, including an ability to create and deliver convincing arguments verbally and in writing
•Creativity, persistence and tenacity to successfully secure media agent appointments
•Strong interpersonal skills and strength in building lasting relationships
•Effective time management and organization skills
•Strong analytics and real-time judgment
•Maturity, poise and “grace under pressure”
•6+ years of experience
•Bachelor’s degree
