The Week Publications is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager with 2-3 years consumer magazine circulation experience in digital marketing.
The position will report to the New Business Director and will be responsible for online and digital marketing for The Week and mental_floss brands, a multi-million dollar revenue stream. Focus will be on tablet apps, online orders, email promotions and paid search. Job responsibilities include:
•Marketing and testing of digital editions of magazines across tablet platforms
•Creation, maintenance and analysis of direct marketing web promotions for both digital and print editions of the magazines
•Development and execution of all email campaigns within the department, including print offers, surveys, invoices and renewals
•Management of external marketing efforts, including paid search, affiliate marketing and ad buys
•Overall online support for the consumer marketing department and its initiatives
Candidate will have the following:
•Strong understanding of the digital marketplace, trends and best practices
•Working knowledge of Excel/spreadsheet applications, HTML, Google Analytics
•Comfort with metric reporting; ability to aggregate data into meaningful analysis for management
•Willingness to work with other departments to collaborate on initiatives
•Impeccable time management skills; ability to meet concurrent deadlines
•Basic knowledge of direct marketing
