National Geographic Kids (NGK) is the business segment of The National Geographic Society that extends the National Geographic brand to children in a wide range of media, products, events, and communities.The Marketing Director is responsible for leading and developing NGK’s marketing strategies and overseeing the development of new marketing platforms. S/he will collaborate with key partners within the organization to ensure the marketing integration of all internal product categories (books, magazines, digital web, apps, and TV). The Marketing Director will also support the SVP, Kids Publishing and Media and the SVP, Brand Marketing, with special marketing projects that look at branding and positioning of NGK and its broad portfolio of products and services in the aggregate.B.A. or equivalent in marketing or related field. Minimum 10+ years of marketing experience with exceptional track record of developing product marketing and brand strategies, preferably including a minimum of 3 years digital experience. Significant experience marketing to kids and their gatekeepers preferred. Strong ability to negotiate and sell big ideas; can influence multiple stakeholders and possesses business partnership skills needed in a highly complex/dynamic environment.
