The Museum seeks a talented, creative, and experienced Director of Communications, Marketing, and Digital Strategies to lead a team responsible for communicating the Museum’s mission, furthering its brand, and creating a robust online presence--all with the goal of educating and informing the public about its activities and of increasing attendance.. This professional will need to drive multiple strategies and programs at the same time, including press releases and press coverage by traditional media that produce critical reviews as well as online coverage. He or she will create a marketing program, including co-branding opportunities with other organizations that promote exhibitions and public programs; he or she will direct advertising; he or she will oversee the content of the website, ensuring that it supports marketing and communications goals and maintains a consistent voice and tone. Finally, this position will organize promotional events around exhibitions and other programs that will stimulate attendance.

This is a senior staff position, supervising two full-time employees—the press manager and the manager of social media--while directing outside consultants whose efforts are directed to traditional media. The position reports to the COO. Salary is in the low six figures.
