HarperCollins Publishers is currently seeking a Managing Editor of Marketing Content to help conceive, execute, and edit consumer-facing digital content on a wide range of platforms, from e-mail to social media. This role will report to the Director of Audience Development and work with a cross-functional team of strategists and marketers to implement company-wide audience engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

•Overseeing copy development and editing for a wide range of marketing platforms and marketing partnerships.
•Managing the homepage, including content development and promotional scheduling.
•Collaborating with the Director of Audience Development to develop HarperCollins’ social media channels and grow engaged audiences in line with marketing plans.
•Developing style guides, best practices, and other documentation to guide internal practice.


•5+ years of consumer editorial experience at a magazine, publishing company or website, with great editorial judgment
•Demonstrated social media savvy, preferably in an enterprise setting
•Ability to master online content tools — from e-mail service providers to social media add-ons —becoming a subject matter expert in their use
•Experience with using analytics and measurement tools to gauge success of programming and develop actionable insights.
•Capacity to strategize across all forms of marketing and content – from social media to partnerships
