VH1 is seeking a visionary to lead us into the next era of digital marketing and social media. This vanguard will:

•Develop and implement digital marketing strategy, using innovative methods to grow awareness and usage of VH1 and properties.
•Grow VH1.com unique visitors, video views and streams via strategic marketing partnerships, creative executions, and influencer programs.
•Work closely with editorial, sales, analytics, email, and other key cross functional business teams and leaders to develop appropriate strategy that delivers ondigital consumer marketing goals that are critical to VH1 success.
•Create innovative and measurable digital marketing campaigns which leverage social, web, mobile, and location-based platforms to drive awareness, engagement and click-through.
•Optimize digital media in a manner that is on brand and drives results.
•Lead digital marketing plans for all VH1 shows to drive tune-in, brand immersion and consumer engagement.
•Identify audience research and competitive analysis tools to help set digital marketing strategy for each brand that drives audience growth and engagement and makes brands more self-sufficient.
•Manage and report all data sources in order to measure success and develop best practices.
•Lead social media vision, strategy and planning for all VH1 properties, shows and tentpoles.
•Effectively select, deploy and measure promotional campaigns on social platforms.
•Identify, optimize and expande the right suite of social platforms for key VH1 initiatives.
•Lead strategic thinking and 'best practices' for all audience acquisition channels (SEO, SEM, Facebook, Twitter, etc).
•Develop culture and processes for relentless optimization of existing products, A/Btesting, and experimentation.
•Develop ongoing research to study the correlation/causality of social media buzz (by person, by type, by platform), and TV viewing to develop our social media plans and media buying strategies to serve TV viewing.

Basic Qualifications:

•10+years Digital experience within the entertainment/media industry
•Strong successful track-record in the development and implementation of major digital initiatives.
•Strong track-record as a leader with excellent project management and people management skills.
•Strong strategic planning experience with solid organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolutions.
•Strong oral and written communications skills.
•Highly skilled in navigating across multiple lines of businesses and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
•Proven track record as a strategic and creative leader.

Desired Qualifications:

•A proven track record and shown results with metrics-based marketing campaigns on digital platforms.
•Ability to effectively reach out to key influencers and fans on digital platforms to best leverage word-of-mouth around brand priorities
•Implicit familiarity with a variety of vendors marketing partnership models – barter, traffic-swapping, integrations
•The ability to translate data into actionable next steps for the organizations.
•Knowledge of the YouTube platform and how to best grow our presence and fan base.
•Effective communicator, thought leader and digital evangelizer – both in-house and in the media community
•Follower of emerging social and marketing platforms; understanding of how they best overlap with VH1s audience
•Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable and confident addressing challenging situations effectively as well as experienced in affecting change and direction.
•A fan of pop culture, "in the know" and passionate about people.
•Must be comfortable engaging with a range of constituents and management levels.
•Experience with developing and leading high performance teams.
•Strong problem solving and creative skills with a keen eye towards execution that drives tangible results.
