Cambridge University Press, a leader in academic publishing, is currently seeking a Marketing Associate to join our growing Journals department. The Marketing Associate creates and executes campaigns for assigned social science journals under the supervision of the manager for the department. The Marketing Associate is responsible for the creation of email campaigns; social media outreach, print ads, and exhibit collateral as outlined by the marketing campaigns he/she creates for each journal. The Marketing Associate is also in charge of budgeting appropriately across each journal and managing expenses as approved by the Marketing Head. The Marketing Associate interacts with all key stakeholders in the journals department, both in New York and internationally. This includes people in editorial, production, exhibits and colleagues in the books department. In addition, the selected candidate will engage and maintain relationships with various society partners and their members at large.The ideal candidate will be bright, energetic, and have superior communication and interpersonal skills and be able to make good decisions and think creatively. Good writing skills are also important as is being technology savvy to learn our systems quickly and execute. Candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and have experience using Social Media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.). This is a great position for someone with two or three years of marketing experience (academic marketing preferred) looking to develop their career and work for a world class organization like Cambridge.
