Cambridge University Press, a leader in Academic Publishing, seeks a Manufacturing Controller to oversee and manage the manufacture of monographs and textbooks (b/w and color) for the global market. These include new books, reprints, first-time papers plus any other manufacturing requirements. In concert with the Supply Chain team in the UK, the Manufacturing Controller supports the Global Supply Chain Director in delivering Academic’s publishing program worldwide. The Manufacturing Controller will work with other departments (e.g. Content, Editorial, Sales and Marketing, and Inventory Control) to ensure that books are printed and delivered where needed on schedule and within budget and that inventory always is available to fulfill orders.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of related experience and knowledge of printing processes and printing parlance. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Adobe software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat), familiarity with FileMaker Pro and experience using SAP is a plus.
