Senior Product Manager
A broadcast and digital media giant is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive audience engagement across multiple properties. You’ll be leading the development of innovative digital experiences that change the way TV viewers interact with their favorite shows’ sites. As Senior Product Manager, your first order of business will be to develop a comprehensive understanding of this company’s digital portfolio. You’ll evaluate how television viewers interact with their favorite shows’ sites. Then you’ll deliver enhancements that deepen viewers’ engagement with those sites and their content by using this client’s new responsive publishing system. You’ll develop next-generation interactives that compel users to view the next video, to click on the article, to leave comments, and to share with their social network.The social sharing piece is critical here: this client is looking to drive the social potential of their content, and you’re going to deliver products that enable and encourage sharing across multiple platforms.Stickiness is key, as well. Your products will need to addictive, keeping users coming back often to view and interact with new content and their fellow fans.You’ll be expected to live in the site metrics, and use them to inform your leadership in ongoing iterations and enhancements. There’s a lot of A/B testing to be done here, so you’ll have the chance to perfect the fast fail.ProfileYou’ve got a proven track record of growing audience engagement for large media properties. You’ve launched signature features or new site sections that have had measurable impact on a content-driven B2C site. You know how to build new products and iterate existing ones that drive user engagement, particularly with digital video content. Your portfolio is filled with innovative products that have driven KPIs for user engagement, and you know the value that a passionate user base presents to advertisers.At a previous gig (or gigs), you introduced features like social log-in or increased personalization. These features increased interaction and retention, drove clicks and views, and kept users coming back day after day.You understand the current TV landscape, and you understand what makes the fans tick. You can leverage this understanding to bring them in, keep them clicking, and get them to come back the next day (or multiple times in the same day).You’re a skilled collaborator who is both strategic and detail-oriented, with proven product development and management experience in a consumer-based, digital media company. You’re at home in Agile/Scrum environments, and have a bias for rapid delivery and collaborative execution, and you know how to get both technical and business people to support a transparent product roadmap.
