Ad Age, the leading source of news, information and analysis for the marketing and media industry, is seeking a smart, aggressive reporter to cover trends and companies in the business-to-business marketing space. We need someone who can do that by breaking news and delivering insightful analysis on the intersection of marketing and technology, the rise of automation, high-level marketing strategy and creative.
The ideal candidate must have at least seven to 10 years of reporting experience, an interest in marketing and technology, and solid news judgment. He or she must understand business journalism and source development and have a track record of breaking news and thoughtful analysis. The ability to write quickly and cleanly is a must. Editing experience is a plus.
Candidates should be excited to help us sift through the noise and cover the news that’s meaningful to marketers.
This person must be a self-starter, as he or she will be leading an important area of coverage for Ad Age. In addition to reporting, this person will be called on to speak at events and on panels, build trends presentations, help manage a roster of contributors and advise on event content. He or she must be collaborative, as this position will interact with a variety of editors and across multiple departments at Ad Age.
