Quayside Publishing Group is seeking a driven and well-rounded sales professional for our Account Executive position in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region.

The Account Executive is directly responsible for growing book business in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region. With thousands of great books and ancillary products in its catalogs, Quayside Publishing Group produces fun and interesting products to promote and sell through this exciting and rewarding position. New business and growth opportunities for a motivated individual are practically limitless.

This position will be responsible for interacting with new account prospects, building solid professional relationships with outside sales representatives and accounts, and maintaining & growing existing accounts. The ideal candidate will be focused, have the ability to interface with people at all levels, and have a comprehensive understanding of how to sell books and related products.

Key Results Areas
A.Manage all sales relationships in the territory.
1.Call on major national and regional accounts.
2.Manage relationships with regional and local distributors.
3.Manage relationships with regional and local wholesale accounts.
4.Work on category management for key accounts in the following areas: Home Improvement, Tractor & Farm accounts, Transportation, Craft.

B.Analyze the marketplace with regard to our product and that of our competitors to find opportunities in the market.
1.Seek out new business opportunities for our lists.
2.Establish and implement sales promotions.
3.Set sales targets in conjunction with the sales director for accounts, sales reps and distributors.

C.Participate in supply chain initiatives and reprint meetings.
1.Work closely with the publishers to share market analysis and give input on title acquisitions.

D.Work with Marketing to develop local and regional marketing plans.

E.Manage regional and local commission sales reps.

Position Specifications
A.Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
?Must have proven track record of success and possess exceptional leadership, ethical, and analytical skills.
?Superior organizational skills and follow through.
?Work independently and in team environment.
?Persuasive and sales driven, outgoing personality.
?Travel required.

B.Education and Experience
?Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
?10+ years experience in selling in the book, gift or consumer products markets.
?Book publishing experience a plus, but not a prerequisite.
