Allure magazine is looking for a talented, highly creative and detail-oriented Associate Art Director with a great sense of taste to work with the Design Director and Deputy Art Director. Candidates for this position must be pro-active self starters who can work well both independently and collaboratively. This person should be passionate about design and have the ability to contribute conceptually to the team.

General Responsibilities:

Designing feature and FOB editorial pages for the print magazine

Generating concepts and designing layouts

Stay abreast of current design trends and communicate key insights to the team

Providing design guidance to junior members of the team and freelancers as needed

Undertaking other art direction assignments at the request of the Design Director


  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing at a consumer magazine;

  • Digital design experience is essential knowledge of all programs is key

  • Possess strong typographic expertise and sophisticated design aesthetic

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to problem solve and work as a team player

  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
