POSITION SUMMARY
Sharecare is seeking a Senior or Mid-Level Content Producer to join our Consumer Clinical Content team in San Diego (preferred) or Atlanta. This position will be responsible for planning, researching, writing and editing evidence-based digital content on a wide range of health and medical topics. This position reports directly to the Director, Consumer Clinical Content.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Plan, research, write and edit engaging, clinically-sound health content for consumers with strong attention to SEO and revenue goals.
•Identify and interpret respected health and medical reference materials, such as peer-reviewed journals, full-text studies and current clinical guidelines, and translate them into consumer-friendly content.
•Make sound, informed recommendations with regards to research methods, research tools and health information sources.
•Understand business and client goals for content, and be able to execute those goals while maintaining the editorial standards of Sharecare.
•Think strategically about content pieces and work proactively within the Sr. Content Producer or Content Producer role to help fulfill business and cross-team goals.
•Participate in digital content strategy meetings, and brainstorming and implementation as needed to ensure key metrics are being met.
•Participate in and/or lead meetings and interface with other teams (EVP of clinical strategy, chief medical officer, clinical informatics team, design team, sales team, product team, etc.) as needed.
•Coach or oversee the work of junior content staff members as needed.
•Perform other editorial or content-related duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 (or more) years of experience developing content for consumers and/or health professionals on health, medical or science-related topics, and a general understanding of digital content strategy.
Excellent health/medical research skills and a strong interest in creating clinical content that is easy to read, use and understand are required.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Master's or Bachelor's degree in communications/journalism, English, writing, health or a science-related area
•Experience planning, researching, writing, editing and supporting maintenance of evidence-based content in a health or medical setting, using peer-reviewed research and other scientific sources
•Experience using biomedical evidence search engines, such as PubMed or Clinical Key
•Experience working with clinical reviewers to plan, research, write and develop content for publication
•Exceptional analytical, research, writing and editing skills, including ability to check and confirm scientific facts and prepare final, edited documents for publication with little or no supervision
•Experience with AP style, and common health/medical citation formats
•Proactive work ethic, strong people skills and a positive attitude
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and independently meet deadlines while remaining calm, cordial, efficient, competent and organized
•Demonstrated experience using standard software programs (Outlook, Word, etc.)
•Writing samples, salary range and references required
