The International Editions Editor is responsible for managing selected international editions of Seventeen, CosmoGirl!, Town & Country and Oprah. This role acts as the liaison between the international editions for the purpose of facilitating editorial requests, promoting content sharing, and managing the global brand.


The IEE is responsible for managing the availability of editorial content in the content sharing system, processing payments to contributors in the MIC, and obtaining clearances for reuse. The IEE reviews the international editions to maintain brand focus and enforce compliance with HMI policies and procedures. The IEE participates in brand immersion visits and local brand conferences.


The International Editions Editor sources material as inspiration for brands books and assists with the implementation of global editorial initiatives.


The International Editions Editor reports to the Executive Editor and Executive Director, Editorial and works closely with the Art Department and Content Services team.

Required:

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)


Editorial experience in print magazines and/or websites


Familiarity with legal contracts and copyright law including the ability to discern practical implications for business practices


Creative problem solving skills and knowledge of best practices from past experience


Strong communications skills for understanding and effectively communicating diplomatically with non-native English speakers


Language skills preferred

2-5 years Editorial experience in print magazines and/or websites
