The Content Strategist will coordinate the development of a comprehensive content plan (discovery, design/creation and deployment) for the editorial and creative vision of a multi-channel content program for a Fortune 500 financial services company. The program is comprised of a high volume of both employee-facing content and customer-facing content. Channels include, but are not limited to: a print magazine; a news hub; a blog; an enewsletter; and an internal intranet. Types of content include, but are not limited to: news articles; feature articles; blog posts; advice content; and internal communications.
This position requires an understanding of client-based, branded content-style publishing. Also required, is specific and demonstrable experience in the discreet discipline of content strategy for the purpose of solving, user, business and technical content needs on various content platforms. The ideal candidate will have lead or partnered in the application of a holistic content strategy for a medium to large-scale client or enterprise. Experience in change management is a plus.
The Content Strategist will be a collaborative and hands-on partner, working closely with the Content Director, editorial team, digital strategists, user and design experience leads, developers and client stakeholders across the enterprise.
Must work in San Antonio.

•Coordinates with the Content Director to help achieve the editorial and creative vision for the program
•Manages the execution of the program’s content strategy. This includes:
oAudience definition –identification, characterization (persona development)
oAudience segmentation and prioritization for reaching each audience against business objectives and goals
oContent auditing
oSome taxonomy development and/or refinement
oPartnering with team members for IA, UX/UI recommendations
oPartnering with digital strategy team members for distribution/syndication recommendations
oContent strategy design (the go-forward plan for achieving content goals)
oIdentifying the need for and establishing/refining processes for content development and publishing, particularly workflow
oIdentifying tools for efficient content development and publishing
oPartnering with digital strategy team members to define and deploy measurement and optimization frameworks.
oPartnering with editorial team members to establish processes for the optimization of content
•Manages the time of edit team members who will assist in the execution of the content strategy, in additional freelance or contract content strategist as needed
•Liaises with client and Pace team members specializing in editorial development and digital strategy

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in library sciences, editorial management, and/or content production & management, English, Journalism or related field
•Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a content strategists for a medium-to-large scale enterprise or agency focusing on large-scale content development, execution and/or migration. 3-5 years management experience. A background in editorial and subject matter expertise in consumer finance is a plus. Must be able to juggle multiple projects at a fast pace and manage many moving parts and details.
•Skills: Strong leadership, written and verbal communication skills and project management skills are a must. Experience with various content management systems (Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, custom builds), HTML a plus, writing and editing for web and social, SEO best practices, MS Office Suite. Ability to manage projects from start to finish. Detail-oriented. CQ5 experience preferred, but not required.
