Summary of Role: The Studio Operations Production Assistant works closely and collaboratively with all levels of studio and production staff and management. This position fills a vital role in the support and creation of content within TWC Sports’ production studios. The Studio Operations Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the setup and operation of production equipment for studio-based sporting and network events as well as supporting all project and program-based content creation efforts..

Essential Job Functions:
•Assists studio and show production staff to prepare and create original event, in-studio, episodic, and digital content.
•Supports Director and Technical Directors during all live, in-studio events.
•Operates technical equipment on ad hoc basis while adhering to high production standards.
•Acts professionally and as a positive force in the team environment.
•Participates in training programs and initiatives.
•Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Operations (Tactical Responsibilities)
•Assists managers and show production staff to prepare and create original programming, in-studio, episodic, and digital content.
•Operates daily in the Control Room, Video Shading, Audio, Audio Assist, Playback, Replay, Chyron, Camera and Robotic Camera positions during live events and/or studio productions as requested.
•Will work with programming staff to expand content to web, VOD, apps for tablets/smartphones, and mobile video, etc.
•Administrative duties include proper timecard entry, generating daily reports and communicating with management on a daily basis.
•Other technical duties and assignments as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)
•Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques.
•Knowledge of studio-based production and post production.
•Familiarity working with Dalet production workflow system strongly preferred.
•Experience with video camera packages preferred.
•Familiarity with Apple Final Cut Pro preferred .
•Familiarity with studio, production, and post production equipment and software.
•Understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of Television Broadcasting systems.
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Formal Education & Certification
•College diploma or university degree in the field of Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, Engineering and/or 1-2 years equivalent work experience.

Travel Requirements:
•Travel depending upon project needs

Leadership/Staff Accountability:
•No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Personal Attributes
•Must be willing and able to learn, understand, and grow with the business.
•Bachelor’s degree, 1-2 years practical training and experience in sports TV production and strong sports knowledge is preferred however the right combination of these will be considered.

•Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
•Able to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

•Proficiency in Word & Excel with basic math skills.
•Familiarity with graphics & editing programs is a plus.
•Proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
•Good organizational and project coordination skills are necessary, including the ability to compile materials. Good problem solving skills and the ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and time constraints.
•Willingness to work nights, weekend, flexible hours, work on location, etc.

Work Conditions
•Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
•Overtime may be required in meet deadlines.
•Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
•On-call availability for 24x7, 365 days a year.
