The Role
The Junior Sales role within Bloomberg’s Media Licensing and Distribution (MLD) group works with the Global Sales team to prospect new business, support hundreds of existing clients, and close new business. The role will focus primarily on sourcing prospects and qualifying leads for distribution of Bloomberg News, Photos, Video, Data, and Terminals across numerous media outlets, including Print, Broadcast, Online, and Mobile. In addition, the Junior Sales Executive will help draft business proposals as well as prepare and attend meetings with Senior Account Managers.

Responsibilities include:
-Manage and prioritize incoming sales leads. Contact prospective customers to qualify potential new business, articulate value proposition, and arrange follow-up meetings, in coordination with Senior Account Managers.
-Conduct market research on companies in the region, via industry sources and contact databases (e.g., Cision, LinkedIn). Quantify new business opportunities in the media industry (Newspapers, Magazines, Broadcasters, Education) and Communications function within select corporations.
-Support Senior Account Managers in drafting business proposals, preparing client presentations for key clients, and following up on new commercial opportunities. Travel to customer meetings and office locations of Senior Account Managers as required.
-Support messaging of editorial syndication products, including News, Photos, Video, Data, and Bloomberg Terminal, to existing and prospective customers in region. Target messaging based on company profiles, customer segments, job titles, and regions.
-Provide world-class customer service, including managing customer access to content platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, liaising on billing matters, and other support functions as required. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM systems.
-Assist MLD team on use cases of Bloomberg content from media partners and in monitoring content use on customer platforms. Generate reports to qualify penetration of Bloomberg syndication services in select markets and customer segments.
-Execute on additional projects required to support sales strategy in coordination with Senior Account Managers, Global Head of Sales, and broader MLD team.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree, with concentrations in Business, Economics and/or Communications a plus.
-Enthusiastic, energetic, committed person interested in career in media licensing and working for a world-class media organization.
-Former experience in licensing and/or media companies a plus
-Foreign language skills a plus
