Global Marketing & Communications Assistant
The APCO Experience is about challenging convention and challenging yourself.The Opportunity APCO Worldwide has an immediate opportunity for a Global Marketing & Communication Assistant/Coordinator to join our corporate global marketing and communication team. The Global Marketing & Communication Assistant will have 1-3 years of experience and is responsible for day-to-day work in media relations, thought leadership, social media and online outreach partnering with team members to build the APCO Worldwide global brand. Primary Responsibilities Assist with the development of media relations plans and execution of activities including: •Draft, edit and proof press releases •Help identify and place executives for media coverage and speaking opportunities •Create and update media lists •Track, record and analyze APCO-related news coverage •Write staff biographies •Draft articles, op-eds and other thought-leadership contributions •Proof read thought leadership documents Assist with online marketing communication activities including: •Help with production and maintenance of online properties, including APCO blogs and websites using HTML and content management systems •Assist in the creation and tracking of project plans •Write and post content to APCO social media outlets •Ensure traditional media and thought leadership activities are leveraged through relevant social media and online channels •Draft and format HTML e-mail and event registrations •Record, report and analyze web and social media activity Additional responsibilities include assisting in special projects and broader marketing and media programs for the company. QualificationsQualified candidates will have a BA/BS in a related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience, strong technical, research, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to proactively and thoughtfully support the activities of global marketing and communication team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with HTML, web analytics, content management (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM) systems and media database and monitoring programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is also required.
