Account Manager, Adoption Sales for Fairchild Books / Bloomsbury Academic visual arts titles
Bloomsbury Academic & Professional Division

The academic arm of Bloomsbury USA, made up of Bloomsbury Academic, Arden, Methuen Drama, T & T Clark, and Fairchild Books imprints, publishes a portfolio of textbooks, reference titles and journals from the world’s most recognized authorities in our areas of expertise: visual arts, fashion, interior design, drama, Shakespeare, literature, anthropology, religion, and more. Our audience ranges from academics to librarians to professionals to readers who are ardent enthusiasts in a wide variety of areas of interest.

For Fairchild Books and Bloomsbury’s visual arts academic products, you will be responsible for generating sales revenue by securing print and digital textbook adoptions in the visual arts subject areas at colleges, universities, technical schools, and public high schools throughout a geographical sales territory. Resulting from telesales to instructors and college bookstores, campus visits with faculty, and travel to academic conferences throughout the year, you will build relationships and guide key decision-makers on required textbooks for course curriculum, while working accordingly with book buyers to maintain and grow an existing territory revenue base. You will actively track sales data in our sales database, send complimentary inspection/desk copies to secure course adoptions, seek out new customers through internal and online tools, analyze trends, competition and selling cycles relevant to our market and report to Director of Adoption Sales.
