Associate Director, Retention Marketing
Hearst Magazines' Consumer Marketing Department is currently seeking an Associate Director of Retention Marketing. Will oversee day-to-day subscription marketing activities for the renewal, billing and gift businesses of multiple Hearst magazines across print and digital channels. Lead the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting, reporting and reconciliation of renewal and payment response rates and expenses. Develop retention marketing test and roll out strategies and plans, analyze results of these programs, and make program recommendations based on the findings. Identify and implement retention marketing best practices across all Hearst magazines and develop and direct special retention marketing programs and initiatives across the portfolio. Reports to the Executive Director, Customer Retention, and manages and develops a team of three Retention Marketing Managers/Analysts.
10+ years of experience in subscription marketing renewals and billing (magazines, newspapers, cable, wireless, etc.), with magazine circulation retention experience preferred but not required; experience developing, implementing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns in print and digital channels; experience working in a matrix environment; ability to collaborate effectively with members of marketing, finance, operations and reporting; strong analytical, organization and planning skills with the ability to think creatively, question the status quo and investigate the scale, feasibility and requirements of potential retention marketing programs; excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
