An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lonely Planet as the Lead Project Manager based in our Franklin, Tennessee office. Reporting to the Global Production Director in the Business Development division, this role is offered as a full-time position.

The commercially focused Lead Project Manager is responsible for the production and delivery of Client Solutions/B2B projects across digital, wireless and custom print products. This dual role is predominantly that of a Project Manager with team lead responsibilities and the selected candidate would work closely with internal and external project teams to deliver end-to-end product delivery. Key responsibilities include:

•Determine scope and maintain product specifications
•Gather requirements and assist with content plans
•Create and adhere to schedules and budgets
•Report on status and manage key stakeholders
•Manage all contributing resources
•Liaise either directly with clients, or through Business Development Managers

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience successfully delivering digital and/or print products in an agency or B2B environment, with a demonstrated application of project management skills and a thorough understanding of product development processes. You will also have relevant experience working with website and/or digital media delivery and cross-functional teams, with a collaborative and consultative approach to dealing with colleagues, team members and business stakeholders. You will also possess strong risk and issue management skills, whilst working with a dynamic team. Previous experience with Agile delivery practices are not essential but would be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate must be self-motivated and proactive and have proven management or leadership experience. Key responsibilities include:
•Manage and support direct reports,
•Help set and execute team goals and development plans
•Contribute to strategy and process improvement
•Assist in capacity planning and forecasting
•Expand third party networks and assist in vendor selection

You will also need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships with key business stakeholders. In addition, you will need to have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle and manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. You will also need to adapt to changing and competing priorities, while maintaining an excellent high attention to detail.

Agency experience will be highly desirable and a certification in a Project Management methodology would be highly regarded.
