Conducting tens of thousands of surveys daily, Nielsen Advertiser Solutions measures viewers' engagement with every program and the effectiveness of every ad, product placement and sponsorship in primetime across all broadcast and major cable networks.  In addition to TV effectiveness, Nielsen has developed various exciting new solutions to assess Digital ad campaigns and where they can best reach and resonate with their target audience. 


We are seeking a talented Research Manager to support research for clients within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.  The Research Manager will be responsible for oversight and creation of advertising effectiveness reports, interfacing with clients, and staff development. 

Specific duties may include though are not limited to:

* Understand Nielsen Ad Solutions’ proprietary database and analytic tools

* Create in-depth research reports through hands-on data query and analysis of complex syndicated database

* Oversee preparation and review of reports in Excel using charts and graphs as well as PowerPoint presentations that analyze syndicated and custom survey data

* Manage various concurrent projects to completion against deadlines

* Communicate regularly with client service team to understand client needs

* Present analyses to marketing and advertising decision makers
* Respond to ongoing and ad-hoc client research requests

* Design and implement custom surveys and analyze and interpret findings

* Manage development of analysts


* Bachelor's degree in marketing/market research, statistics, economics, other social sciences or quantitative fields

* 4-6 years of experience in marketing or media research
* Professional experience with CPG brands on supplier or client side preferable
* Must be able to effectively communicate with clients in verbal and written form

* Strong quantitative, data tabulation and analytic skills required
* Effective organizational skills providing the ability to multi-task and meet all deadlines assigned
* Management experience a plus

* Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, formulas, charts, graphs)
* Professional experience in a digital field a plus

* Working knowledge of SPSS/SAS a plus
* Knowledge of BRIO or other pivot table application a plus
