The Ticker Producer's primary responsibility will be researching and writing content for The Weather Channel's on-screen
scrolling ticker and static flipper ticker during regular programming, severe weather, breaking news and other live events. The
person in this role will also help out as needed researching and writing copy for VOs, SOT/VOs and packages.

**There are multiple full time openings.**

·At least six years of television writing experience
·Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience
·Editorially mature with solid news judgment
·Ability to quickly understand and summarize a story in 70 characters or less
·Ability to quickly understand and summarize information presented during news conferences and other live events
·Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
·Outstanding communication skills
·Strong work ethic
·Ability to work as a self-starter with minimum supervision
·Ability to work well with others in a control room in stressful situations
·Familiarity with newsroom computer systems
·Capable of working in a seated position for extended periods
·Must be capable of working long hours on computer-based equipment
