JOB SUMMARY
The senior editor generates content for Omega’s print and digital initiatives. This position supports the managing editor and the editorial team through writing, editing, and proofreading content, and overseeing editorial and marketing projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
•Collaborate with the CMO, Managing Editor, and other teams and departments on the planning and implementation of marketing and content creation strategies, projects, content production, and brand development
•Generate, write, edit, and proofread content for print and digital resources, including Omega’s course catalogs and brochures, website, e-communications, fliers, postcards, advertisements, correspondence, articles, and slideshows
•Oversee the work of other editors on a project-by-project basis
•Assist with maintaining Omega’s editorial style and the Omega brand across platforms
•Assist with coordinating editorial projects and their timelines
•Organize and oversee multi-faceted editorial projects and marketing campaigns
•Manage workflows of editorial material in the K4 workflow system, including providing training and in-house support for editorial users
•Manage editorial proofing processes
•Participate in regular department meetings and meetings relevant to current projects
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Editor

QUALIFICATIONS

•5-10 years experience in editorial field
•Some print publishing experience preferred; ideal candidate will have combination of web and print experience
•Understanding of the content of Omega’s programs and key initiatives
•Experience in developing and implementing creative editorial content
•Experience with establishing and maintaining editorial brand identity
•Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills
•Exceptional copyediting and proofreading skills
•Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
•Digitally enabled: Experience and/or familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InCopy, CMS, project management software, SEO, and social media. Ability to embrace and learn new software is required
•Ability to work quickly, accurately, and gracefully under deadline pressure
•Team player
•Awareness of trends and development in fields of interest to Omega
•In alignment with Omega’s visions, goals, and core values
