Education/ Training/ Certificates/ Licenses: Bachelor Degree or advanced degree in related field preferred or combination of education and experience. Studies in Human Factors and Interface design preferred. Training in Web analytics software preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in digital marketing development, competitive analysis and user research. Experience in developing/implementing effective project management processes required.
Experience in using usability best practices and web analytics data to inform design and development decisions required.
Experience as an information architect, interactive designer or experience designer (or similar role) preferred.
Technical skills: Must be able to perform basic functions in HTML and CSS
Must have strong to advanced knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Adobe.
Must be able to perform most advanced functions
Communication skills: Extremely strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills are vital. Must clearly articulate user experience concepts and explain interactive ideas and solutions in a logical and professional manner. This includes an ability to build and present prototypes that foster an understanding of proposed development priorities. Must be able to compose clear and concise correspondence to promote technology-related initiatives to a broad audience of internal users. Must write robust project materials, including detailed user experience specifications, comprehensive RFP’s and ongoing status reports.
Project Management skills:Requires the creativity to leverage design and information architecture to build a great brand experience online. Must be able to independently trouble-shoot Web site and project issues and make practical and actionable decisions and recommendations after evaluating multiple courses of action. Also must be capable of designing, conducting and interpreting user research. Must have basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, in order to estimate and track budgets and analyze traffic, SEO performance and other trend data.
Other important skills: Strong understanding of Web .20 technologies and trends and how to leverage them to enhance user experience and drive response/leads.
Requires sufficient interactive production knowledge to understand and anticipate the time and effort required for various interactive development tasks for various channels and platforms. This includes an ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their ramifications in the earliest stages of discussion.
Good working knowledge of systems infrastructure technologies.
Prior experience hand-coding in HTML and CSS with and understanding of JavaScript is a plus but the work is front-end focused. Good visual design skills and experience with a focus on user interface is required.
Strong familiarity with paid and organic search marketing, social media, research tools and web analytics.
