An industry leader for more than 80 years, we are looking for a Corporate Sales Executive to join our passionate, innovative and highly skilled sales team as we develop and grow our new corporate and member sales divisions.

Inside Sales Representative will be based out of our office in New York City. In this position, you will report to the Director of Agency Sales and Strategic Partnerships, and will lead all group membership subscription sales activities, from new lead generation, outbound proactive sales through close of sale.

To be successful in this position, you must be self-motivated, high-energy, and results-driven, that can be leveraged to gather qualifying information, to uncover needs, and to generate sales.

Responsibilities include:
• Comfortable and proficient in cold-calling/outbound selling to Ad Age’s current and prospective group membership clients.
• Working with data/circulation team to analyze prospect databases to craft the ideal prospect and introduce new prospects to the group membership programs.
• Conduct needs analysis with prospects to define and develop appropriate Ad Age programs and packages
• Foster and develop new and existing industry relationships for group and package memberships.
• Comfortable handling and overcoming objections
• Ensure excellent service and support to prospects and customers
• Share insight and input with internal teams for development of marketing materials, based on marketplace experience and insights.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• 3+ years previous sales experience in publishing
• Thorough understanding of the marketing, advertising and media industry, sales processes, purchasing cycles
• Self-motivated to make a large number of phone calls per day.
• Experience in referral programs, generating new business and building a customer base
• Ability to develop effective approaches to convert sales leads to opportunities
• Candidates must have excellent prospecting, communication, and written skills.
