We are seeking a talented mid-level digital communication professional with expertise in online campaign or issue advocacy campaigns to join our team.

•Support and/or manage digital projects for a range of public affairs campaigns and well known, global brands
•Work with team to develop and execute digital communication strategies across multiple platforms in support of client projects with a focus on building supporters and allies, and grassroots advocacy
•Quickly building and mobilizing online communities
•Coordinate social media campaigns including blogger outreach, other social network initiatives, social news participation and social media release development
•Maintain deep understanding of industry topics, issues or news involving client accounts in order to effectively deliver strong and creative communication strategies that are relevant to their needs and business objectives
•Conduct social media "audits" and research; and educate APCO staff and clients on the implementation of new technologies and social media tools
•Work across functions and serve as a strong contributor to both APCO’s issues management and digital practice areas

•5-7 years of relevant experience in the digital communication and social media, preferably within an agency or campaign setting
•Previous experience developing and executing online political and issue-based campaigns; including state and federal legislative campaigns
•Previous experience developing creative earned media concepts and campaigns
•Proven knowledge of emerging online technology with a particular interest in social media tools and trends
•Database management
•Strong proficiency utilizing various social media campaign platforms
•Exceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines
•Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
•Entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative team player
•Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, take initiative and set priorities
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
