This dynamic and cutting-edge position based in Minneapolis, MN is responsible for optimizing title information for Cool Springs, Voyageur, Motorbooks, and Zenith imprints in company systems and online. This Marketing team member coordinates social media and online networking for the above imprints on platforms including but not limited to our own blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Goodreads, and YouTube. They will track success and results of social media efforts and company sites. Also helps assist and train authors with connecting their websites and blogs to different e-commerce affiliate accounts, as well as involving them in social media efforts.
The Marketing, Data Integrity & Social Media Coordinator is a marketing expert for the Minneapolis teams and as such also provides marketing assistance and coordination generally for the imprints listed above with direction from the marketing managers, across all marketing efforts, including but not limited to publicity, advertising, promotions, events, author and contributor mailings, news alerts, invoices and approval processing.

Key Areas of Responsibility
A.Data integrity within Q Solutions
1.Optimizes title records for accurate and engaging data for each new season of Minneapolis titles, including descriptive text, related titles, author biographies, pricing, and other specifications for our wide range of customers
2.Produce AI sheets for our sales division
3.Proactively update records from previous seasons to improve descriptive copy and verify title data and specs over a book’s lifetime
4.React to change memos outlining updates and changes to Minneapolis titles

B.Copywriting for all promotional and advertising material for Minneapolis imprints
1.Oversee all copywriting for internal, retail, and consumer channels for Minneapolis titles
2.Develop and edit catalog copy, Edelweiss copy, e-tailer copy (Amazon, Qbookshop, BN, etc.)
3.Write advertising copy for all print and online flyers and ads for all Minneapolis titles
4.Work directly with the marketing and design departments to develop unique ads for multiple outlets, including magazines, websites, and promotional material

C.Social media management
1.Coordinates social media efforts across a range of platforms, including daily postings on in-house blogs and dissemination and reposting to outside sites
2.Liaise with authors, staff, editors, and outside freelance writers to maintain and manage social media functions and blog entries
3.Serve as the go-to person for all authors to train them on social media efforts and help them connect their blogs and websites to different online media, such as e-commerce widgets
4.Utilize tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Amazon ARA, and Compete.com to measure the level of traffic and analyze website data for our blogs and websites and external social media platforms
5.Keep up to date on cutting-edge social media trends and determine which new tools and products to implement company-wide

Position Requirements
A.Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
-A demonstrated passion for both online media and the publishing world
-Proven experience with social media marketing and/or publishing and strategies across a broad range of platforms including blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, Twitter and related and evolving sites
-Adept with social media outlets while keeping current on emerging trends and new innovations in the field of online networking and marketing
-Highly adept with Microsoft’s suite of products including Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat
-Extremely organized, detail-oriented, driven, personable, and efficient while reacting quickly to ever-changing market needs and proactively seeking out new ways to improve upon existing company practices
-Proficiency with Photoshop and inDesign a plus

B.Education and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
-3-5 years in a social media, digital marketing, or book publishing role
-Team or individual leadership experience a plus
