Position Overview
As an Account Executive you will work closely with an Account Team or multiple account teams supporting and alleviating the workload of the other team members. You will learn to support the delivery of PR campaigns, and the basics of PR delivery.

General Responsibilities
1.Working with AAE and/or interns to ensure administration is being completed
2.Support Account Teams by updating centralized PR databases such as forward features and journalist contacts.
3.Researching industry related topics to ensure Account Team and of course you, are kept abreast of all industry issues.
4.Daily reading of key press and circulating news stories to the entire office.
5.Ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
6.Raising the standard and quality of all information presented both internally and externally.

Media Specific Responsibilities
•Analyzing media coverage, and producing PR lists for account teams to pitch from.
•Tracking forward features relevant to your clients.
•Calling journalists to chase on forward feature opportunities.
•Beginning to work on cold pitching and media delivery
•Contributing to creative story and pitching ideas
•Assistance in drafting press releases
•Liaising with publishing contacts on reprints.

Account Specific Responsibilities
•Ensuring all clippings are chased, clipped, tracked and delivered to the appropriate account team member. Produce year end clippings books for each client.
•Sending important pieces of coverage to clients
•Attending and participating in client meetings
•Learning about your client's business and key audiences.
•Ensuring Account Team's have appropriate information for meetings including printed agendas, reports, and clippings.
•Ensuring all meetings are accurately minuted and action points distributed quickly after the meeting.
•Monitoring own time spent on account in line with the rest of the team.
•Updating Cognito Analytics, and producing reports (weekly time reports, monthly CEO reports, quarterly reports, and year end reports).
•Proofing documents before they are sent to a client or prospect.
•Complete basic email communication with clients to schedule meetings, and send documents for review.
•Preparing press briefing sheets for client interviews.
•Drafting quantitative information for Monthly Reports

Business Development Responsibilities
•Administrative support for all Cognito New York business development events (including summer and holiday parties).
•Admin support for all marketing mail outs (including WOM and holiday cards).
•Proofing documents for prospective clients.
•Become an active member for the sales support team – tasks include updating the prospects database, competitor research, and mining publications for prospect moves.
