College Sales Manager
Cambridge University Press is looking for a talented College Sales Manager who can drive the current sales force to close business while also managing a territory. Core responsibilities will be the day-to-day supervision of the inside sales team, developing overall strategies for increasing market share, implementing motivational and developmental skills; analyzing and reporting sales performance; monitoring and sharing developments and changes in the industry. You will work closely with colleagues in our Marketing, Editorial and Production departments to ensure the delivery of the inside sales team’s goals. You will have a strong understanding of current print and digital trends in the US and Canadian marketplaces as well as a thorough understanding of the sales processes. Experience with the databases and required tools for successful sell-through is essential. You will attend relevant events and conferences, and interact with authors, instructors, end-users and others to gain customer insight and market awareness. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of sales experience in textbook publishing. Candidates should have excellent communication and problem solving skills, along with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationship.
