Cambridge University Press, a leader in Academic Publishing, seeks a Manufacturing Controller to oversee and manage the manufacture of monographs and textbooks (b/w and color). In concert with the Supply Chain team in the UK, the Manufacturing Controller supports the Global Supply Chain Director in delivering Academic’s publishing program worldwide. The Manufacturing Controller will work with other departments (e.g. Content, Editorial, Sales and Marketing, and Inventory Control) to ensure that books are printed and delivered where needed on schedule and within budget and that inventory always is available to fulfill orders. Duties include estimating, scheduling, preparing cover templates, writing purchase orders, sending files to print, checking proofs, and circulating advances.The ideal candidate will possess a 2 years of related experience. The candidate should have proficiency in business office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes) and publishing software (InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and FileMaker Pro), and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience in using SAP is a plus.
