Job Requirements

Duties
Concept, create and timely delivery of digital assets. Listed by priority:
Primary duty: Infographics, interactives and other data visualization (using tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, Edge Animate, etc.)
Web ads and graphics and other imagery for Marketing and Social Media
Eblasts for Membership
Some basic video editing
Landing and microsites
Manage all communication of all projects from start to finish with internal clients and Design Manager
Responsible for cataloging and library management of digital assets
Photo research
Understand web standards and best practices


Necessary Experience

3-5+ yrs creative web experience preferably in news/media or related industry. This is not a design position in Marketing/Advertising/Branding.
Research and analytical experience. Ability to translate data to visually. Ability to drill down to most important information to convey graphically.
Deep understanding of great design (typography, color theory, color management)
Desire to create usable designs where user's/reader's action steps are clearly defined.
Expert understanding of Illustrator and Photoshop
Working knowledge of in inDesign, Final Cut, Edge Animate
Knowledge of HTML5, xHTML, CSS preferred, but not necessary.
