Junior Marketing Project Manager
The marketing department at Guilford Press is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and creative marketing professional to join our team as a full-time Junior Marketing Project Manager. This position handles working on several brochures, postcards, and ads simultaneously, while also handling market research and special campaigns. The marketing department at Guilford is fast-paced, highly productive, and greatly invested in the quality of our work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Creating print marketing brochures and postcards. The project manager is engaged in this process from A–Z: starting from the proposal, to writing and editing the brochure; then sending to print and following up with sales information.•Completing print advertising, flyers, and inserts.•Performing market research, including writing and sending out surveys.•Doing outreach to special markets, such as students.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.•Outstanding computer and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.•The ability to proofread, edit, and coordinate a many tasks with accuracy and promptness.•The ability to meet important deadlines.•Impeccable attention to detail.•A team-player attitude.•Exhibit and conference travel required.•A minimum of two years’ experience in book publishing is preferred.•A college degree is preferred.
