Digiday’s content marketing arm is looking for an energetic digital native with an enthusiasm for quality content and an eye for marketing to support its growth in 2014.

At the Digiday Content Studio, we believe that great content marketing comes from the same place as great editorial: an eye for the good story and the skills and talent to tell that story. As assistant editor, you’ll need solid writing and reporting skills, social networking know-how, a knack for client relationships and a willingness to go beyond your job description to help a young company grow.

In return, you’ll work closely with the DCS Director on internal and client-based projects and get experience in a wide variety of projects.

Job Duties will include:
Content production for the DCS blog and other marketing materials, including written pieces, video and in-house events.

Social networking for the Digiday Content Studio.

Assisting in production and fulfilment of content created by Digiday Content Studio for its clients, including written stories, video and thought leadership events.

Administrative duties will include :
Managing content via CMS and promoting content campaigns via social streams.

Campaign tracking and reporting.

Sponsor fulfillment on editorial specials.

Scheduling calls between Digiday Content Studio, clients and the sales team.

The ideal candidate:
Holds a Journalism, English or Marketing Degree.

Is a confident communicator with great writing chops.

Is detail-oriented and hyper-organized.

Is a team player, unflappable and great with people.

Able to thrive in a start-up environment.

Has 1-2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in digital media.
