We seek a Marketing Associate who under the supervision of the Associate Director of Marketing & Business Development will provide recommendations and facilitate the development of targeted promotions and strategic alliances to bring new audiences and/or incremental revenue for Carnegie Hall Presents events. These efforts may include, but are not limited to, targeted flyer and poster distribution, research and contact with appropriate websites, setting up eblasts through appropriate list serves, promotional ticket or CD giveaways, and presence on social media sites. He/she will also be responsible for select Google Display and AdWords purchases in consultation with the Associate Director. The Associate will be responsible for creating a weekly promotions calendar that lists any current promotions, distribute the calendar to appropriate departments, and lead weekly meetings with Box Office and CarnegieCharge staff to review. He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining promotional relationships with local restaurants and businesses for participation in the CarnegieCard, a value-added program for Carnegie Hall subscribers and donors. He or she must also demonstrate an understanding of Tessitura list builds, discount set ups, source code maintenance, and reporting. The Marketing Associate will be expected to participate in weekly strategy meetings where single ticket marketing goals and strategies are developed. At times, this position will also be expected to provide strong, effective marketing copy for his/her specific projects. Other responsibilities include accessing and distributing Tessitura’s Daily Ticket and Weekly Executive Summary reports, as well as Tessitura list extractions throughout the season for targeted mailings. The Marketing Associate will also be responsible for coordinating review by marketing department personnel of all ads, brochures and printed pieces in production. He/she will manage all list requests from outside organizations and supervise Carnegie Hall’s Monthly Calendars distribution in coordination with the Production Manager. The Associate will also be expected to learn the Ektron system for the purpose of making copy changes on the Carnegie Hall website.
Associate will assist the Director of Marketing and Visitor Services on specific projects as needed. As with all Marketing and Creative Services Department personnel, he/she will be expected to be present for concert duty on a regular basis during the season.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree 2 to 3 years of successful work in community outreach and/or targeted marketing efforts is a requirement for this position. Previous experience in evaluating reports and implementing set-up procedures in the Tessitura ticketing system is required. This person needs excellent communication skills for engaging and persuading local institutions to participate in Carnegie Hall’s outreach efforts, and to represent CHC in a professional and appropriate manner. Creativity in developing and maintaining programs that match the needs of specific groups or communities will be essential. The ability to prioritize jobs and to work efficiently and smoothly with other Carnegie departments is essential. Excellent writing skills are a necessity and will require either writing samples or a writing test.
